For MU-MIMO is it possible to get RI=2?
For eg, in case of 16 layers MU-MIMO, can the base station serve 8 UEs simltaneously with RI=2?
RI is per UE.
So it is possible to have 8 UEs with RI=2.
What is not possible in 5G for Mu-MIMO is to have 4 or 8 layers. maximum is 2 layers for MU-MIMO.

Not for MU-MIMO paired UEs.
in R16, it support max 4 layers for each UE in MU-MIMO.
