For 5G CA in NSA, is SRB3 involved in carrier addition for PSCell?
gNB selects one of the MRDC band combination according to its capabilities than it selects its PSCell based on ideal cell load.
gnb signals RRC:cg config to enb which includes NR SCG CA configuration for NR PsCell and sCells.
And than sCells are configured by blind selection soon after the NR random access procedure before any DL data is scheduled.
In this scenario menb signals both the LTE and NR CA configuration to UE.
So SRB3 is not involved in this.
Other experts can confirm from your end.
Agreed, SRB3 is not involved, and i believe not supported currently by many.
Yes. Many doesn’t support.
If it’s supported also we must configure it and it will be used only for those NR messages that doesn’t need any coordination between meNB and sgNB.
