Factors Influencing UL PRB Allocation difference between Two Operators

Two operators, under the same radio conditions and load, are testing uplink throughput.

One operator is achieving 75-80 UL PRBs, while the other is achieving 90 UL PRBs.

What could be the factors causing this difference in UL PRB allocation, considering both operators use the same radio and core vendor?

Are both operators using the same scheduling algorithm?

If so, what scheduling algorithm is being used?

Yes.

PF Med.

Check MCS ratio?

MCS allocated in the range of 21-26.

What is the MCS ratio?

I mean, what modulation is being used?

QPSK, 16-QAM, or 64-QAM

Yes, same.

Is this data collected from a drive test or PM (Performance Management) data from OSS?

Collected from a drive test.

Could you confirm the ratio of UL SINR and the percentage distribution of modulation types?
Please share the results with us.

How many times did you measure?

2-3 times

All the same results?

Yes, on each carrier. We even tried in another city with the same vendor.

Did you compare the parameters?

Check UL scheduling, power control, and QoS configurations between the operators.

4G or 5G?

CA used?

4G only.

Yes, all the information we were able to gather indicates that it is the same.

What exact parameter related to power control (P0)?

P0_NominalPUSCH & P0_UE_PUSCH

pZeroNominalPusch is same.
pZeroNominalPucch is slightly different.

This could lead to control signaling errors, affecting uplink scheduling efficiency; however, I don’t think this is the root cause as the impact seems to be minimal (slightly).
