Factors affecting ULMCS and DLMCS

Hi Experts.

Does ULMCS and DLMCS goes hand in hand while movement?

Like:

  • DLMCS(256qam): 27 → 26 → 24 → 20
  • ULMCS(64qam): 28 → 27 → 25 → 19

Or

  • DLMCS: 27 → 26 → 24 → 20 → 16 → 13
  • ULMCS: 28 → 27 → 25 → 23-> 21 → 20

I know factors affecting Downlink LA and Uplink LA are different. But still any view on this?

Why they should go hand in hand?

In FDD you can have UL or DL interference independent one from another.

What about TDD?

TDD as well.

UL and DL traffic are not the same.

Also interference in UL is different from DL.
