Someone here has experience using this EPLMN list as a way to share network (roaming) without the indication of classical “R” in the display?. Usually this effect is got it setting EPLMN in the SIM card, my question is about getting same result sending EPLMN list thru NAS “attach accept” message.
This list is provisioned in HSS for instance? is it a feature in the EPC?
From my understanding, the EPLMN stored in SIM card in UE and stored in HSS when you sign up with an operator. You can treat the EPLMN as the same as PLMN.
Maybe we can’t say it’s a “specific” feature in the EPC, because the EPLMN is the same as PLMN.
you are right these parameters are saved in the sim card, but in Huawei there is a feature called “WSFD-010108 Selective Equivalent PLMN” that allows pass over NAS a list of plmns as eplmn avoiding the need to change or modify the sim card of Ue’s. My question was referred to this. Objective is avoid change the sim and “R” indication in the Ue using this feature. Thanks for the comment.
