During VoLTE call how dedicated bearer will active and who is responsible for create dedicated bearer?

As we know LTE network does not read SIP…

Any bearer either default or dedicated, bearer setup is initiated by MME.

It’s PCRF who initiate the request based on QoS and PGW send the dedicated bearer request to SGW and MME.

First trigger is from IMS via Rx interface towards PCRF.

Default bearer is created with IMS APN.

Dedicated bearers are created for Voice or Video accordingly and triggered from IMS signalling over Rx interface to PCRF and PCRF further inform to PGW over Gx interface to create dedicated bearers for Voice call and Video call.

Once the call ends these dedicated bearers are torn down.
