Different types of measurement in 5G

Hello Experts,
Someone can help me to understand difference between different types of measurement in 5G?

Measurement on SSB for SS-RSRP, SS-RSRQ, SS-SINR, CSI-RSRP, CSI-RSRQ, CSI-SINR and RSSI.

What is the difference between SSB RSRP, SS RSRP, CSI RSRP?

Same for RSRQ & SINR?

May anyone explain all parameter?

Seems:

  • SSB RSRP at L3
  • SS RSRP at L1
  • CSI RSRP for csi-rs beams for coarse beams if enabled

But why we check all layers of RSRP in 5G while it was only CSI in 4G?

For 4G it’s from reference signal… CSI reported by UE to network, its channel state information consist of CQI, RI, PMI.

ss-RSRP represents the average power received from a single Resource Element allocated lo the Secondary Synchronisation Signal.
synchronisation Signal - Reference Signal Received Power’ (SS-RSRP) measurements are used for cell selection, cell reselection, power control calculations, mobility procedures and beam management.

CSI-RSRP represents the average power received from a single Resource Element allocated to the CSI Reference Signal
