Connectivity Issue on ERICSSON BSC (NWI-E Ports 12)

Hello all,

I am experiencing an issue with my ERICSSON BSC. On each port 12 of the NWI-E, both Gb and A links are configured, but all of them are currently down.

  • The physical links appear to be up.

  • From the NWIE, I am able to ping the Gb gateway successfully.

  • However, a traceroute towards the SGSN does not go through (the traceroute doesn’t leave my equipment)

  • The same issue is observed on the second NWI-E.

  • The SGSN address is correctly defined in the routing table.

  • This setup was working properly before.

Could you please advise on what might be causing this issue?

Hi, check traceroutes/pings using from keyword (same as source). Get source IPs from same subnetworks as outputs rrapp:apl=gbi;, rrapp:apl=abi;.
