What is cell locking and unlocking? Why is it performed from network side and what is its function?
What happens when some UE(s) are already connected to a cell, and then it is decided by the network (eNB) to be locked? What happens to those users?
Can anyone please throw some more light on these processes and its associated consequences?
It is performed as per the requirement by the network operator like in the case of maintenance etc.
Once the LTE cell is locked, depending upon the network coverage there and the UE network priority, the UE will do the cell reselection to other RAT if its available. Else it will go to the emergency mode.
