Can UE read Public Warning related SIBs 10, 11, 12 in Idle Mode or Connected Mode in LTE?

Hi Experts,
I have one query: can UE read public warning related SIBs 10, 11, 12 in Idle Mode or Connected Mode in LTE?
I read it through paging message UE can read for special SIBs.

I think it’s only in Connected Mode.

UE can be idle or connected. They are informed by paging to read the warning message which is sent in SIB12.

Interesting question. Just searched for this. Answer is, yes it can read in idle mode.
Sequence of events:

  • Paging to indicate SIB1 change
  • Acquire SIB1 to get SIB12 scheduling
  • Read SIB12

Yes. Rather I will say all SIBs can be read in idle mode.
Otherwise what is purpose of it?

These SIBs having linkage with paging message.

For this, the paging will happen for a time period equal to Modification_Period_Coefficent Default Paging Cycle?

are SIBs 10, 11, 12 for Public Warning?

Another query - how we can make sure all UEs will get all the SIBs (not aggregation level)? mean is there a way to figure out that uE get all sibs??
