Beam Squinting Compensation: An NCR-Assisted Scenario

In 3GPP Rel-18, network-controlled repeater (NCR) has been standardized as a amplify-and-forward relay node with beamforming capabilities.

There are similarities between NCRs and intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS).

In this paper, submitted to IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, we study the problem of beam squinting in NCRs and IRSs.
