Does anybody has good explantion of this diagram (Arrays of SubArrays)?
It means that beams are as narrow as number of antenna elements, and can be steered on any direction of sector coverage for bottom 2 pictures.
Whereas for upper 2 pictures there is no steering: there is only one beam that covers the whole sector.
Also the one that are grouped in blue have different phase shift
It also means that one should chose the AAU type based on user distribution.
Huawei does it differently they have a parameter called coverage_scenario with values from 1 to 15 and achieve also similar like picture of Ericsson.
