Are both Voice and SMS paging done over PCH?
Or does sms paging use a different channel?
Sms is transfered over NAS or IMS.
Physical channel is DCCH.
Control channel, not traffic channel
1st look for UE is always PCH.
Huawei has voice paging success rate and sms paging success rate.
Is sms paging using the same channel?
Which RAT?
On 2g and on 3g.
Paging will be sent via PCH always ether it is for SMS or Voice VoLTE MT call.
Paging is done through paging channel pch.
While sms carried on sacch or either sdcch
If no voice or data tranfer than sms carried on sdcch.
RAN KPi or Core KPI?
In RAN side it can distinguish paging CS domain or PS domain, no different between voice or SMS.
So I guess the voice paging SSR and SMS paging SSR is core KPI.
