5G NR - Synchronization Procedure
Is Downlink Synchronization procedure and RACH procedure same in 5G and LTE?
In NR it’s almost same like PSS and sss decode for slot and Freq synchronisation then msg1, msg2 etc.
Only difference occur in term of selection of best SSB in NR as it’s beamforming technique used.
UE select best SSB as per RSRP SSB threshold on which entire procedure completed for RACH in NR.
