  • In LTE, RSRP and RSRQ are associated with CRS (Cell Specific Reference Signal).

  • In 5G NR, CRS is not used. Instead, SS (Synchronization Signal) and CSI (Channel State Information) are used.
    SS-RSRP stands for “SS reference signal received power”. It is defined as the linear average over the power contributions (in Watts) of the resource elements which carry secondary synchronization signals.
