5G NR link adaptation SINR to MCS mapping

Hi, Can anyone help me on the how to map MCS to SINR in 5G. Is there any spec document detailing that? For LTE it is specified in TR 136 942 Annex A. And that is a process derived from Shanon bound with alpha attenuation parameter.

Is there a same way to do that for the 5G? I have some documents from the one hardware vendor that have their own SINR to MCS table with required SINR tresholds but they are only for one MCS table and not universal. Also they are way less sensitive on the low end.

Hi, these translation tables are vendor specific. The best is to get those directly from vendors, or if you can’t you can get some course estimates from 3GPP working groups meetings/proposals.
