This short video covers the 5G coverage expansion along with the changes in flow of 5G traffic in different scenarios! I have tried to correlate different aspects in the same video to give an E2E understanding of User Plane Traffic Flow.
The video discusses one of the most efficient approaches to 5G Coverage Expansion which is related to the concept of user plane leg switching. The basic idea is to take advantage of the 5G Non-Stand Alone architecture which allows to have dual connectivity between 5G and 4G. This gives us a way to improve and expand 5G coverage using configurational changes.
