What are Difference in Beam Sweeping/Beam Steering/Beam Refinement in 5G?

Also Beam Sweeping is used in Analog only?
And while Beam Refinement used in Digital only?

Hi,

Beamforming requieres a precise real time CSI and we talk different steps of Beam management but steering done by simple analog shifter.

Yes, Also Beam Refinement is for digital only ,while beam steering used in both anlog and digital.
also in mMIMO beam sweeping used for analog only but now in 5G its supports both analog and digital as well i think.

one query. If we do scanner based drive survey what type of beam we can expect to capture considering scanner doesn’t give us connected mode user’s actual beam experience?
