what I think the reason behind it is either Monopoly or oligopoly in technical advancement as well as implimentation.For an Example 3GPP has been our only creator and no one todate has challanged it.Wether it is right or wrong we adopted it for this day without questioning.When it comes to vendors its also handful Ericsson,Nokia,Huawei ZTE etc.But now it is getting distributed a little after Mavnir,AWS etc. from USA entered the market which is a good thing in my view.And also in countries only handful of operators are there to share the spectrum and there is no space for a smaller startup to enter due to spectrum limitations.Because of that,there is not much things to discuss or question in the technical side rather than following the provided protocols or MOPs.
