LTE Intra-Frequency Handover (HO)

Event A3 Condition
Event A3 is triggered when the following condition is met:
RSRPn + CIOn - HysteresisA3 > RSRPs + A3 Offset ]

Where:

  • RSRP(n): Reference Signal Received Power of the neighboring cell.
  • CIO(n): Cell Individual Offset of the neighboring cell.
  • Hysteresis(A3): A parameter to prevent frequent handovers due to minor signal fluctuations.
  • RSRP(s): Reference Signal Received Power of the serving cell.
  • A3 Offset: Offset value to adjust the sensitivity of the handover condition.

Recommendation:
-Hysteresis (HysteresisA3): 3 dB
-A3 Offset: 2 dB
-CIO = 0 dB
-Time-to-Trigger (TTT): 320 ms

Timer for reporting measurements report?

I believe you are referring to a3 time to trigger (ttt) it depends on speed and clutter so
I personally think a value around 128 to 256 would be suitable for high speed and above 320 for urban areas.
