What can be positive or negative impact if we change SSB periodicity from 20 to 5 ms?

Hi,

shorter SSB periodicity means SSB bursts will consume more resources therefore lower cell throughput. This especially if you have larger number of SSBs (SSB sweeping).
The benefit would be faster attach procedure for UE as it can detect and decode SSB (earlier), but in my opinion this doesn’t outweight the negative impact on throughput.

It can not only increase speed of attach procedure but also success rate ( as more attempts will be performed). But negative side is Thr reductuion.
