There are 2 beam modes, static and dynamic.
What are the determining factors for selecting one over the other?

Hi, do you mean CSi-RS grid based beamforming (static) vs SRS reciprocity based beamforming (dynamic)? If so, then it’s future availability, and also CSI_RS beamforming performs better in low SNR scenario ie typically at the cell edge. Some vendors have fixed setup, some have adaptive switching.

Well I meant for LTE only, how to know which mode should be configured. Both modes are described in Huawei feature document of Hedex.
