You can definitely do that but modifying the 2G<>LTE and 3G<>LTE Idle and connected mode mobility threshold in both directions.
You need to make sure the connected mode and idle mode threshold are the same to maintain the same Idle and connected mode coverage.
The objective should be to delay the transition from LTE to lower layers and easy reselection from the lower layer to LTE.
Design the thresholds in a way to avoid ping pong reselection between the layers.
