What can be done to minimise ping latency apart from tinactivity timer increase in field test?

Any other suggestion that can reduce 10 ms value through parameter settings?

While Google Chrome refresh and VoNR off it’s minimised by 5 ms.

Proactive Scheduling (Nokia), Preallocation (Huawei).

Can we reduce PDCP discard timer for non gbr case? Packet loss can be high?

This is Ericsson system.

They have a Pre Scheduling feature enabled there.

Deactivate DRX.

Yes, DRX deactivation can be tried.

Not sure about Nokia, but Huawei Preallocation will not work when RRC connected users > 50.

Good idea, but never shown any concrete results.

Only good when you have high retransmission rate aka bad coverage.

But you will introduce another issue like battery drain complaints.

Yes, it is logical if there is a high user number, scheduler should stop proactive scheduling, so you can seek for CCE utilization enhancement if high that cause scheduling delay.

In other words, you should enable load balance based on CCE utilization.

Best way is to reduce latency with fair optimisation like transmission performance (in Huawei you can use IPPM) but that need UGW from Huawei.

Here I am talking about eNodeB latency, for other part e2e (Core part), this is beyond our action actually (Not RF issue).

e2e latency = BLER T1 + Scheduling T2 + TRM T3.

First two T1, T2 are RF issue and can enhance.

Other T3 is TRM/Core issue.

No need action from RF side, just reporting to Core/team guys to check.
