LTE UE cat6 is from 3gpp R10.
Cat 2,3,4 is R8.
If UE support cat4, does this mean this UE only support R8, not support R10?
UE must support legacy categories for backward compatability. In other words, all newer UEs still support a Rel8 category
can you give example UE support R10 but just cat2/3/4.
I didn’t say only cat2/3/4
I am saying UE rel 10 typically signals 2 categories in 2 different IEs
Ue-category 4 for example, and
Ue-category-v10 6 for example
As far as I know, If UE supports only Cat4 it means it supports only 3GPP R8 features.
