A4 event was removed is it now used?
I agreedā¦If A3 is for intra freq then no need for A2 and A1ā¦these are thresholds and as per A3 event definition- we need just offset for intra freq handoverā¦ some networks use a3 for inter freq handover then A2 and A1 comes in picture. I worked in Huawei where a4 is for inter freq a3 for intra freqā¦A5 is used where you want controlled handoverā¦if you have more layers 3,4 or moreā¦suppose you have high band 2300 , mid 1800 and low 900/800ā¦and you want your user to stay on 2300 not 800 so it works hereā¦and again depends on different vendorsā¦
