Counters to monitor Transport Congestion in LTE

Hi Team.
Could you suggest counters to monitor Transport Congestion in LTE?
Vendor is Ericsson .

Honestly speaking the available counters in Ericsson for transport network are not giving any conclusive results.

But still you can try below:

Sum(sctpAssocTimeCongested) - SCTP Time in Congestion

Sum(sctpAssocTimeUnavail) - SCTP Time Unavailable

:pray:Thanks… Right :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I have also same feeling.

Welcome.
As a workaround, you can look at the 3G IUB Congestion counter to conclude if there is any transmission bottleneck.
Assuming there is a colocated 3G Node and transmission is same.

Hi Experts.
At LTE (for Ericsson and Huawei), how we can check the TX issues and congestion from counters?

For Huawei in LTE you can check fege port and dsp ethport and tnl failures to check Transmission related things.
And in ping test you can identify the transmission failures.
If ping timeout or high it’s definitely a transmission issue from OSS.

So there are no counters?
Do I have to check by MML commands?

Yes: there are counters vs.fege like that.
For rx and tx speed.
L erabfail.tnl.
And similar for abnormal release TNL.

These are failures, but maybe due to tx quality not congestion.

DSP ethport will help you know - is it defined in fiber or copper and its speed defined.
For tx congestion transmission team can only help further.

For Ericsson you should be able to check the counters vía Amos/Moshell and the ‘pmr’ command, syntax available in the txt manuals distributed with those tools.
