Can TCP/UDP use RLC AM & UM both mode?

Hi All.

Specific to NSA, as on Specs mentioned both mode supported, so interested to know TCP applicable for AM as well as for UM.

Yes, TCP data transfer can be done UM as well as AM.

Any retransmissions needed in UM mode happen at data layer level.

For UDP it’s RLC UM only, right?

Not necessarily.

An unacknowledged transmission at data layer can be configured as AM at RLC. But that kind of config doesn’t make sense.
