Can FDD Cells Support 30 kHz SCS in NR Networks?

Hi NR Experts.

With FDD cell, can we support SCS 30 kHz?

Any network having such support? I.e.NR FDD band + sub carrier spacing 30 kHz?

Admin note: this post was updated with image below.

Check here: 5G NR frequency band

Thanks.

Any reference for live network?

I only know n78 TDD uses SCS 30.

All other FDD like n28, n3, n1 I see with SCS 15.

I think none.

No commercial network I heard using 30 kHz SCS in FDD.

But theoretically, higher FDD BW like 30/40 MHz can have 30 KHz SCS.

Here in UAE we use 30 kHz in NR TDD.

n78 CA.

Thank you all.

Yes, SCS 30 kHz with commercial network with FDD, need to check.
Even TDD not support 15 kHz in commercial, only with 30 kHz seen…

Any commercial UE support 30 kHz SCS with FDD NR band?

May be helpful:

Yes, whether pure NR or DSS in Band 1 or 3 SCS of 15 kHz is used and supported by major vendors.

Thanks.

Any commercial UE support 30 kHz SCS with FDD NR band?

Is there any disadvantage with 30 kHz SCS + FDD NR band?

30 kHz is used above 2.5 GHz.

Mostly band are TDD.

Not seen any deployment with FDD and 30 kHz.

Yes, but no such limitations as per Specs…

Not sure with SCS 30 kHz +FDD band NR any disadvantage in deployment or radio unit limitations or system module challenge…

High subcarrier spacing have problem with inter symbol interference (ISI), FDD band mostly lower frequency band having large cell radius.

3gpp given SCS restriction for each band.

It is for FR1 and for FR2 (mmWave)_120 KHz SCS commonly used in commercial deployments as higher SCS helps to estimate (using PTRS ref signal) and mitigate phase noise in better way prevalent at higher frequency bands like mmWwave.
