Detection of external interference while doing drive test on 900 and 1800 LTE band

CDMA2000 licenced in 800 bands may effect on 900 Mhz bands

Can you give me the details of network condition like number RSRP and RS SNR?

After optimization has been completed, RSRP value is -96dbm and SINR 3db

Check SIB 7 messages

Use professional scanner with:

  1. log file for analysis;
  2. decode L3 message, for PLMN etc;
  3. high sensitivity (-134dBm, RBW=1KHz, when scan speed is 3000MHz/s);
  4. fake BTS checking (an scanner can found the clock tolerance of each cell);
  5. with GPS and GPSDO synchronization;

Unwanted transmitters are pervasive in today’s mobile networks, degrading network capacity and reducing subscriber QoE. With the densification of cells and the deployment of emerging standards with higher-order modulation over legacy technologies, the RF environment is becoming ever-more complex making networks increasingly susceptible to interference and therefore interference hunting is a key issue for mobile network operators and regulators.

External interference can originate from a licensed or non-licensed radio transmitter. A few dBs of reduction in signal to noise ratio at the receiver dramatically impacts network capacity with subsequent loss of revenue and subscriber QoE, requiring operators to hunt down interference quickly.

Thankfully, scanners can automatically identify unwanted transmitters and spectrum analyzers or receivers, together with a direction-finding antenna and sophisticated software, can automate the process to locate interference.
